Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum, so there's probably a FAQ about it... but im too lazy to search for it.
Anyway,
Does Clamwin auto-scan anything else than outlook, + wich outlook does it scan? outlook express, 2003, 2007, "vista" outlook... Thunderbird?
Thanks for your answer,

ClamWin works with Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook Express).

Hello,
As far as I know you have first to installa component called Microsoft Office Outlook connector. Then the hotmail profil can be configures in Outlook.

I have Outlook Express on my Winxp S/p3 computer. Is there a way to have Clamwin scan my email from there?
Thanks!

The official ClamWin email scan is from Outlook--it is not set up for Outlook Express. There may be some other projects that have a plugin for Outlook Express for ClamWin. You can scan Outlook Express folders manually with ClamWin. Another option is to get the Clam Sentinel program (a separate project), which allows you to scan in real-time with ClamWin, so Sentinel will automatically scan your Outlook mail when it is put on your computer. Clam Sentinel also has its own heuristic scanner that can detect malware for which there is no ClamWin signature. The Sentinel site is at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web.

Express is sort of a stripped-down Outlook for home users, as Outlook was originally designed for business use. Microsoft does not officially support Express any more.
