I am wondering if anyone out there can help.
Clamwin is automatically downloading my onedrive files that I prefer to leave online rather than having them saved on my laptop.
Does anyone know why this is and how to block this. I tried blocking the app and it still keeps happening

I do not think that ClamWin will automatically download anything but the virus signature database. I suggest that you uninstall ClamWin and then re-install it. That should stop this problem if ClamWin was somehow causing it. If it doesn't, then you have more of a problem than ClamWin! Let us know how it goes.

ClamWin was written long before OneDrive, so there may be some problems there that can not be fixed, as development on ClamWin seems to have been stopped for well over a year now.

I think you should be able to put a screen shot in a post here, but remember what I said above.

I think I'll just have to live with it for now.

I don't think ClamWin is the problem. I suggest you get Malwarebytes Free antivirus and do a scan with it. Make sure to update it before you scan. Keep it around and scan with it a few times each week just to make sure no malware is involved (probably not).

I think it has to do with caching the files for quicker access to the media and I don’t believe there is a way to prevent the app from downloading these cached files. You can swipe to delete them in your device settings.

That's a strange occurrence! ClamWin is not supposed to download anything automatically except the virus signatures. And what's more, ClamWin is not a real-time scanner, so it does not know what is being done on your computer outside of ClamWin.

Uncheck the Enable Automatic Virus Updates option in Tools, Preferences, Internet Updates and see if the problem still persists. If it does, then something in the One Drive code you are using is similar to, and triggers an update that ClamWin thinks contains virus signatures. If this solves the problem, then you will have to do manual virus signatures updates in ClamWin--just set it to update upon logon, as ClamWin updates once daily with about 500 signatures.
