I am using incredimail and was wondering if there are any adjustments to be made to ensure clam win is compatible with it? I think I am going to like this anti virus program, it is obvious that it will be improved on in the not to distant future, Thanks Clam win team. Very Happy Very Happy

clamwin does not integrate with incredimail. Once real time scanning is released any email client will be protected.

Nice to know that. From what I see, and I may be wrong, NOD32 installs a simple interface between any application (ie: email client) that accesses remote ports 110, 143 and 25 and scans whatever goes through. I use Opera M2 and if I download a message with an attachment, in my system tray it shows a NOD32 dialog box that shows the percentage downloaded. Is this the way Clamwin is going to work? Or maybe differently? It's going to work with Opera's email client, correct?

It does not really matter where you detect the virus, just such that it is detected prior to executing on your system. Integrating with everyones favorite email client and web browser is a waste of development time more well spent on actually detecting malware. The main point is that no matter the mail client, it always has to be written to disk for windows to execute it, and that is the primary detection point.
