Hi,
I've been using clamwin for a long time.
I have installed the latest version available.
After installation it tries to update the virus database but fails.
I ran the instructions found here:

The ERROR persists:

I update the signatures for ClamWin in the morning after signing on my computer. I also had a problem this morning--think there is something wrong at Clam AV which processes/controls the signature updates. Tried several times, and then noticed there is a link on the web in the update messages. Clicked on the link and then got an automated update--guess there was no bytecode/main updates. Anyway, noticed that the update went to my default download directory. I copied the one file to the ClamWin data\db folder, and all was/is well.
Try this. If it doesn't work for you, just make sure ClamWin is scheduled to update some time in the future, and I'll bet you will get it after a couple of hours.

I had to do this manually today for the 3rd day. There has been no Clam AV announcement about this. If you just click on the link shown in the signature update report, you will be taken to the website where you can manually download the signatures. Do this and then go to the folder it was downloaded to and copy the updated file (usually just the daily signatures). Then go to the ClamWin data/db folder and copy the file there.
Maybe we will hear something about this shortly. If we don't then, I think it is a ClamWin problem, but at least we can manually download the signatures.
