Clam Av has announced that on Monday November 25, it will update the main database. This entails integrating the daily database into the main database. This used to be a problem for them, but they claim that it will now go much smoother. Let's hope so. I also hope that this will fix the horribly slow temporary caching of the database before each scan. The ClamWin developers owe it to us to code ClamWin so that the caching is made permanent as long as ClamWin is being used. This and the use of a real-time mini-filter are the best things they could do if they intend to continue ClamWin as a viable AV. Otherwise, I think we can forget about ClamWin. There has been no improvement/update in ClamWin for well over a year now.
