Recent I have not been able to download any of the database updates. Are their server problems?

If you read some previous posts here, you will see that Sherpya thinks the problem is due to IPV6 code, and he is thinking about disabling it with the next ClamWin port of the Clam AV code. It will probably be at least a month or two before that happens.
For now, you can either go back to the previous version of ClamWin before .97.8 or do manual updates. I personally think that a Windows patch probably caused the problem.
Thank you for using ClamWin.

Could you please give us a little more details, such as operating system and error messages?

In some regions the only database server supports IPv6. Does Sherpya think this disabling could be optional?
Note — As of Sunday, 21 July 2013 IPv6 is supported by 37/119 (about 31 %) servers in 18 countries: Belgium (1/1), Brazil (1/4), Canada (2/2), China (1/1), Czech Republic (2/4), France (1/7), Germany (9/15), Ireland (1/1), Italy (2/3), Japan (4/8), Netherlands (4/5), South Africa (1/3), Spain (1/3), Switzerland (1/2), Taiwan (1/2), Turkey (1/1), United Kingdom (1/3) and United States (3/13).

Well, fixing that would certainly require more work!

Is anyone with this problem running with administrator rights? If not, I suggest you configure for admin rights, if possible, and see what happens.

Unfortunately, no change. I'm a home user on a Vista x64 box so I can get away with stuff like that early in the process easier than some of the folks talking about servers. Would have reported instantly if anything I did had worked.

I'm sorry it didn't work--I noticed that our (wife's really) Win 8 64 bit at times doesn't do a scheduled scan. I have also noticed that when I do a manual memory scan, I have to confirm admin rights in order to scan system files in memory--even though she has admin rights. Even with admin rights, I still have to confirm in that case. Kind of makes me wonder if Clam has admin rights really.

Huh, now those are issues I've never seen. Vista seems to be a little more docile in that respect.
