My system specs:

Windows Vista 64bit
Core i5 2500 CPU
8GB DDR3 RAM
250GB partition for Windows with 43GB free.

My problem started early in April and I am getting really frustrated now. After upgrading from version 0.96.* automatic updates fail with (pretty much) the same log file entries:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Clamwin three times and gone hunting for registry keys and temp files to no avail. I do not use a proxy server.

If I use my web browser I can download from database.clamav.net/daily.cvd with no problem. So why can't clamwin download it?

I suggest that you revert back to the older version of ClamWin that worked for you until we hear from the ClamWin developers.

looks like a problem in ipv6 aware code, vista may make confusion with his ipv6 in ipv4 tunnel, I'm currently reviewing the code but the problem is not reproducible on my win7 64bit.
I may decide to disable ipv6 aware code at all
