Is there a way to run `freshclam` without a window?

create a shortcut to it and set it to run minimised or use /MIN in START command:

start /MIN c:\progra~1\clamwin\bin\freshclam.exe

Yes, but that still launches a window... just a minimized one.

(My purpose is a Task Manager entry to launch it that will go completely unseen.)

I was hoping that using the --log file or --quiet opions would stop it from launching a console window... but no luck.
