I have experienced an issue with the addin for Outlook. It appears that OIAddin.exe does not terminate upon close of Outlook. Each time I launch Outlook, a new OIAddin process is launched (see image below with 3 OIAddin.exe processes running after starting/stopping Outlook 3 times). Additionally, upon shutdown of Windows XP, I must force quit OIAddin.exe to complete the logoff and shutdown process.

Specs:
Outlook 2005
- Addin Lookout is loaded
- Addin for Salesforce.com is loaded.
Windows XP SP2 Tablet PC Edition

Any suggestions?

I have this problem as well...using OL 2003 (latest version of outlook). Any ideas?

I've had this same problem since first installing in November of 2005. I'm using Outlook 2003, but also on a tablet (HP Compaq tc4200) running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. I've been searching Google off and on since early 2006 and have never found any mentions of the problem other than this post.

Any ideas out there? Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller?

I will experiment and make oladdin a dll in a little while (busy with 0.88.4 release right now)

I can confirm there's the same behaviour here under XP TabletPC Edition 2005 with Outlook 2002 running on an HP TC4400.

a quick fix is to force XP ending this processes automatically when shutting down:
go to regedit->hkey_current_user->control panel->desktop
in the right pane, change AutoEndTasks value from 0 to 1.

you may also want to lower the WaitToKillAppTime value i.e. to 1000

but this doesn't cure the cause which is that everytime Outlook is open then closed an additional oladdin.exe process stays stuck in memory.

BTW - This is still a problem as of 0.90.
