I got a pop up that the .94 update was ready to down load. I have clicked and tried to start the download but I am not getting anything further. Also is it normal (just started happening a few weeks ago) to have clamWin put my pc in safe mode to scan or for me to go to help menu?

No, it's not normal for ClamWin to go into safe mode to scan--you have to go into safe mode manually. And the help menu isn't involved with a scan. Have you made any recent changes to your computer as far as security software--such as installed any new security software or re-configured your existing security software?

Try manually downloading version .94 from the ClamWin web site.

Get back here to the ClamWin forum if you continue to have problems.

No I have not made any changes. I only have ClamWin on my PC.
Do you have some other idea as to why the safe mode is happening?
I also tried to manually download the update and it never did anything.

Good that you've got the version .94 download. What is your operating system--you didn't mention that before. Make sure ClamWin's signature definitions are updated, and try a scan--try the Windows directory. Choose to Save the scan report when the scan is finished. Was anything funny/strange about the scan? Did your computer still go into safe mode for the scan? If so, what other AV/security software are you using?

Ok I have no other AV

EVERY TIME I open CW It goes to safe mode. Well it looks like it .......colors are muted one of my monitors is all but black. As soon as it closes everything goes back to normal.

I am running Windows XP 64 bit

Going to do a scan now.

Will report later probably tomorrow........

I use windows xp 64 without problems, what do you mean when you say clamwin starts in safe mode?

sherpya, well it started all of a sudden happening............. when I would want to manually scan a downloaded file the monitors would go black and then the safe mode (LOOK) would be there when the black went away............. Its got me baffled!

no it doesnt look good . Do you currently have a virus in your system>? Im not an av expert but is there a possibility that a worm infected clam? I relly dont think so but you never know

I have a lot of expectation bout this AV. . . keep up the good work clamteam^_^
