Thanks, ANd yes it is not only clam's def. I took some of yahoo's def. They only have 1400 though
and im just going to get people to test it. Then ill make it open source like clamav

If you set your program up to use MD5 hash signatures, a user could develop his own signatures without too much trouble--something you can't do for most AV programs (except Clam/Win). Jotti, VirusTotal and VirSCAN.Org all show MD5 hashes for files sent to them. You could get a lot of signatues just lurking there. A lot of new malware is uploaded there by the bad guys to see how many AVs detect it. Look at Jotti around 7-10 pm USA central time, which is about 2-5 am central European time. Who do you suppose is checking files for viruses at that time? VirSCAN seems to have some of the Asian viruses, which others ignore.
