Just downloaded the latest ClamWin PORTABLE from portableapps.com, and naturally the virus database is out of date, so i ran the updater. It connects and says it's retrieving the update, but just stays there forever. I let it run for 20 minutes until I gave up, and then tried again later in case the servers were down for some reason, but the same thing---just sits there. Naturally, this would make the app unusable. Any suggestions?

I also had a LOT of trouble registering here, and now the post isn't going through. So maybe all the ClamWin servers are having hiccups today. Thanx.

you posted 3 times, I've removed 2 of them, if you got problems while accessing at this forum you may experiences same problems while updating clamwin

Yes, thank you, the forum was just hanging and then it posted three times. This is NOT related to the update problem, though, because today I am on a completely different computer in another state, and the portable clamwin on my USB key still won't update. Note that this is about PORTABLE ClamWin, installed and running off a USB drive, not the regular ClamWin installed on a computer. I'm still hoping for some guidance on getting it to work.

Cant you download it on the ClamWin website? It would probably be safer and easir that way. It's just a guess.
