Version .93 does not appear to have resolved the problem.

The operating system is Vista. I will recheck the permissions.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\.clamwin\ needs to be writable by everyone. Clamwin installer usually sets the permissions up.

I tried altering permissions, but no luck. So, using the compatibility tab, click on permissions for all users, then click runas administrator, seems to work. That seems to me a shortcut that should be temporary. Anyway, is there like a permission template, or what specific permissions would be required for it to run correctly for all authenticated users?

Thanks.

If you run clamwin installer 0.93 in Vista and select to install for all users then it will put the database and some other folders in the following folder:
c:\ProgramData\.clamwin and adjust the folder permission to allow authenticated users full access.
Therefore no further action is required by a system administrator to make it work.

Just uninstall and reinstall clamwin. During installation use the account with admin privileges
