did you check the update log file?
also look into %temp%\clamwin1.log it should tell IsOnline 0 or 1 (don't run clamwin GUI because it will overwrite output form clamtray scheduler) |

Below is a paste of my local clamwin1.log file (didn't even know about that). Looks like it's setting up updates for nonlocal time--here it's still Thursday Apr. 24 at about 18:44.

The log is below. Incidentally, it just updated the signatures at about 18:08, and it is set to update at 17:55 (five minutes before the hour). There was lot of white space before the "Scheduler terminated."

for some reason it seems that freshclam is taking very long time to update and therefore no new updates are scheduled before it finishes. Could you please monitor it for a while, open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\log\ClamUpdateLog.txt in notepad rather then use clamwin log viewer as it will overwrite clamwin1.log. Also check if freshclam.exe is not running for extended period of time in the task manager processes tab.

My 21:55 update went okay--very quick, and freshclam isn't in Task Manager. I'll keep the PC on tonight and take a look tomorrow AM. Do you suppose this is brought on by all those hourly updaters in conjunction with Clam's new database/update procedures? I've thought that hourly updates are a bit much for a free AV.

All updates were made on time overnight. Traffic was light, I suppose. I'll watch it today and get back if any problems. I think it's a Clam thing.

From 08::55 on this morning, there have been problems with updates. Below is a sample of the latest log. My DSL connection is good. Seems to occur when Internet traffic gets heavy. I haven't had a chance yet to check freshclam in Task Manager during an update attempt.

this stuff is quite normal as some mirrrors lag behind after an update. Please keep an eye on the schedule

It must be a mirror/related problem then. Late night/morning updates okay. Only one failure so far today--at 08:55 am, 11:55 had a problem but finally updated. It's now 17:55 and all updates have been okay since then--including the current one. False alarm!
