I just updated to ClamWin 0.91.1 (the previous version had even worse update issues).
I'm using ClamWin Portable (USB stick) on a Windows Vista PC (home premium).
My attempts to update the virus signature file succeeds in downloading, but the verification (before applying fails) with the message:

Quote:

Downloading main.cvd [100%]
ERROR: Verification: MD5 verification error
Trying again in 5 secs...

Any suggestions other than wait for a Vista compatible virus signature?

If you are using the portable version of ClamWin, you might visit https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/clamwin_portable which is the Web site of the portable version. They may be able to help you--perhaps they have encountered this.

it doesn't seam a vista related problem are you sure that .cvd files are big enough to be the virusdb instead of some proxy message?
