Hi,

For those who want to have their ClamWin installation automatically updated (not just the virus datafiles, but also the software) ClamWinUpdate has been created. It's a set of batchfiles that will (if all's well) do just that. A new version (0.71) has been released on sourceforge for you to try. Feedback is welcome, please report your bugs to me.

Don't forget to download the support tools as well (use the getsupporttools.bat if you want)

Some features:
- check for updates of the clamwin software and update it
- save the updates for use on multiple machines
- update from a saved source
- maintain it's own schedule (alpha)
- run commands before and after, like a system scan, including scanning with other virusscanning engines
- extensive logging and mailing the log to the admin (need external tools)
- gpg checking of downloads
- etc

Note: This is still beta software, the installer provided is even alpha, it may not work for you at all. there are known, but also unknown bugs. It's working on non-english / non-dutch windows may be impaired. non-default installation paths may also be a problem.

I don't known if it can be usefull for you but in the download section there is also a incremental updater mainly < 200k, that updates from previous release to the current
it's an nsis script, sources are available in svn

how create .cdiff file for update?

i find in sigtool.exe -help:

--diff=OLD NEW -d OLD NEW Create diff for OLD and NEW CVDs
--run-cdiff=FILE -r FILE Execute update script FILE in cwd
--verify-cdiff=DIFF CVD/INCDIR Verify DIFF against CVD
