I have downloaded the two .cvd files as listed at:
https://www.clamwin.com/content/view/58/27/
Don't I have to do "something" in order for Clamwin to update itself? Or is
just downloading these 2 files and having them in the proper directory all that
is needed?

Did you put the two files in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\.clamwin\db" folder ?

Well now all you have to do is proceed with your scan, meaning thats it.

P.S Please note that ClamWin is a non resident Antivirus which means that it is not constantly monitoring your computer, it only checks for viruses when you ask him to.
