Hello all, new here so apologies if this has been asked before or is in the wrong place.

I've been using clamwin command line for a few months now to scan all messages going through my mailenable server without any real issues, until that is i upgraded from 0.88.7 to 0.90 and now with 0.90.1.

In the command line i tell it to log each scan using
Code:
--log=\"C:\\mailavscanner\\clamwin\\logs\\scanresult.txt\"

which has been working fine until the upgrade, it used to ouput to the txt file regardless of finding anything ie:
Code:
--------------------------------------
Scan started: Sat Jan 20 05:55:58 2007

C:\PROGRA~1\MAILEN~1\Scratch\4675B1~1.MAI\3.ATT: OK
--------------------------------------
Scan started: Sat Jan 20 10:00:09 2007

C:\PROGRA~1\MAILEN~1\Scratch\EBD04E~1.MAI\1.ATT: OK
--------------------------------------
Scan started: Sat Jan 20 10:00:12 2007

C:\PROGRA~1\MAILEN~1\Scratch\EBD04E~1.MAI\2.ATT: Trojan.Downloader-648 FOUND--------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now after upgrading it only outputs anything if it finds something and that doesn't include that date and time, if it doesn't find anything in the file it only outputs the blank start and end dashed lines.

So my question is, is this by design, a bug in the latest kit or something else i might be missing that has changed and needs me to configure something different?

Many thanks in advance....

logging stuff was changed from 0.88.x to 0.90, directly in the original clamav code, we may decide to tweak it a bit

That'd explain it then...thanks for the reply, least i know i'm not going mad now.

If you do decide to tweak the logging could i request that even if it doesn't go back to the way it was, at least could we get back the date/time of the entry when it's discovered something please?

Many thanks for all the work you guys put into the product.

Mark.
