It looks like there is a Windows Defender virus signature that is triggering on a signature(s) in the ClamWin virus database. You should exclude the ClamWin database in Windows Defender--that should stop the problem.
A caveat: it appears that development on ClamWin has stopped. There have been no program updates for well over a year now, and Clam AV has had several that were not ported over to Windows/ClamWin during this time.
I think Windows Defender will provide enough AV protection for individual users. If you need more protection, get Malwarebytes Free and run regular scans with both AVs.
Regards,

Much obliged for covering the issue dear sir (playing guitar myself).
Prior to implementing your advice i remembered some kind of clandestine weapon against Windows' unexpected attitudes - delete, restart and install again.
Since then gentle updates and a happy Defender...who knows why...who cares..?
Sincerely
