Polish translation has wrong encoding - should be utf-8, but now is iso-8859-2.

joomla cms has problems with utf-8 encoding therefore we use ISO

Polish now has utf8 - but some things need to be put in there again. Please join us on irc so we can fix some things together.

I wouldn't advise to use utf-8 with joomla 1.x
It is best to use iso-8859-2
|
