Do not worry about the permissions denied. I haven't seen a virus use this trick in a long time.

If you are sure the Acrobat file does not have a virus, you can whitelist/exclude the file from ClamWin's scheduled scans and folder scans. ClamWin will probably still detect it, however, if you scan the file manually.

Whitelist instructions:
Tools
Preferences
Filters
Click the box
Paste C:\Programme\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe
OK

To exclude a file from any kind of ClamWin scan, put in the ClamWin db folder a notepad file named Sigfile.fp with the following information (make sure file does not have a .txt on the end):
MD5hash:filesize:DDMMYY_reader_sl.exe

MD5 hash Colon Filesize in bytes Colon Date Underscore Filename. Do not leave any spaces.

Thanks for using ClamWin! Be sure to use it as a backup scanner to a real-time antivirus. The ClamWin signatures can not protect against many modern viruses.

Thank you --- I am so sorry, but my problem ist not the Acrobat file.

My real problem ist that clamwin have a problem with C:\Programme\clamwin - if clamwin scan the clanwin directory, then clamwin stop an end the scan without information in the log. And this Problem i have only on the 2 PC with Windows2000 and only since 3 weeks. And If i make a new install von clamwin, i have the some Problem on this 2 PC and only on this 2 PC with Windows 2000.
*
Both PC use the internet-connection only for the normal small update, but not for a big clamwin update. And i do not use this 2 PC for using the Internet. Al other things on this 2 PC exist since more then 7 years.

Sorry, my englisch is verry bad and small. But i hope you can help me.

So there has been a problem for 3 weeks now on both computers with ClamWin scanning its own folder (C:\programme\ClamWin)? It stops the scan and there is no information in the log. Does this happen with a scheduled scan or a manual scan or with both types of scan?

So both computers are used only for normal ClamWin updates and nothing else? If there are used for nothing else, why do you have the 2 computers?

Have you made any changes to one or both computers recently in either hardware or software?

Have you inserted a floppy disk or USB or other media in one or both computers recently?

Are both computers on a network?

Are the computers turned on all the time?

Can anyone else besides you use the computers?

Can you get into Windows Safe Mode in Windows 2000 (hit F8 key repeatedly during bootup)? If so, get into Safe Mode and see if you have the same problem in Safe Mode.

Since today I see the same problem on 2 from my 4 PC with WXP too. Now i mean, that the problem is your ClamWin and the msvcm80.dll (8.00.50727.6195) --- but only on PC with very old CPU. I have in all PC with the same scan problem AMD K6-2+550/500 or AMD K6-III 450. And now I understand too, why I can see since a long time in the ClamWin "Virus Scan Report" on my 2 PC with WIN98SE the information "Total errors: 1" . ClamWin have on the PC with WIN98SE the same Problem. But on this PC with WIN98SE ClamWin do not stop and i can see the complete scan report. This is the different to the PC with WINDOWS2000 und WXP.

Well, I am an old man also! I got an Atari 400 in 1982 and started using PCs in 1989. I started using ClamWin in 2006 when the antivirus companies started to drop support for Win 98. It is now very hard for even ClamWin to support the older computers. I have quit using Win 98 and now use Windows 8.1 because the newer computers have more capability, and there is more/better protection for them now. I try to upgrade about every 5 years.

The German government probably will not plant their trojaner unless they suspect you are doing something with a computer that is not legal.

Thanks for using ClamWin!
