It is normal for ClamWin to have to try several times to update the virus signatures from Clam AV. Just set ClamWin's update preference to hourly and do not worry about it.

The warning about an updated version is from Clam AV--not ClamWin. ClamWin uses its own Windows port of the Clam AV Linux source code. ClamWin does not prepare a port if the Clam AV changes are mostly for Linux machines. This was the case with Clam AV .99.2--ClamWin kept the .99.1 version and did not prepare an update to version .99.2. Just ignore the warning from Clam AV--the ClamWin developers have not yet gotten around to suppressing those version warnings.

Thanks for using ClamWin! Remember that the developers recommend you use it as a backup to a real-time AV and do not rely upon it for a full-time AV.
