Thanks for doing that - much appreciated. I won't submit a separate report - IME that tends to muddy the waters.
One thing I can try: if someone can provide me with an IP address for current.cvd.clamav.net (I can't locate a reliable source for one) I can try adding it to my hosts file and re-installing 0.98.6 and seeing if that works. If it does, that points to a fault with Innflux's DNS tables and I can zero in on them. (cvd.clamav.net has a discoverable IP of 194.109.142.194, clamav.net likewise of 198.148.79.54, it's just current.cvd.clamav.net that fails to be found.)

Just a followup:
I had a friend in the UK who runs an ISP ping for current.cvd.clamav.net, and his report is the same as mine in SoCal: no IP address found.
So that appears to be the root cause of failure of 0.98.6 to update.

I have the same problem. Trying to reinstall as admin, but ClamWin still fails to update.
edit: WOW! The same minute I wrote this, I tried again and guess what - it succeeded, lol.
