ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic - dns errors - anyway of automatically sorting these errors?

lately i have been getting dns errors but have no idea what caused them - gets rather annoying trying 2 or 3 times to get to a site, clam update is as follows

freshclam daemon 0.88.2 (OS: win32, ARCH: x86, CPU: i686)
ClamAV update process started at Mon Jun 19 01:34:57 2006
ERROR: DNS Resolver: Can't query current.cvd.clamav.net
WARNING: Invalid DNS reply. Falling back to HTTP mode.
main.cvd is up to date (version: 39, sigs: 58116, f-level: 8, builder: tkojm)
daily.cvd updated (version: 1549, sigs: 1941, f-level: 8, builder: sven)
Database updated (60057 signatures) from database.clamav.net

i even deleted all network services and reinstalled internet from scratch to no avail.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm afraid i can't really help you on this one, as i'm not much of a web-tech. Alch will be back soon, he knows more about the internet-related stuff.

i can't solve this either but i don't know much about these errors - tried everything from windows help files with no results.

Have you tried pinging database.clamav.net and cvd.clamav.net (current.cvd.clamav.net doesn't work for me either) ?

You can also try to use another update server :

db.local.clamav.net
db.xx.clamav.net (xx is your country code, like de for germany)

Similar problem for me starting from today
