Hi

I try to fix a old laptop with Windows Millenium installed.
Have installed Clamwin 0.97.1-se, without error, but when i try to update the database, its seem to be a never ending story!
No error show.
Can somebody outthere in cyberspace maybe help me?

The standard procedure is to delete the files in your ClamWin database folder and then do a manual update and see if that solves the problem. If that fails, the next thing is to uninstall ClamWin completely and reinstall it. As far as I know, there are not any Win Millenium ClamWin users, so there could be a system problem that prevents update. I do not think it has been tested on the Millenium edition.

Alredy yesterday i delete the database and try to update, - endless. And reinstall i have done servel time.

Did u know a other free virusscanner for Millenium? When Clamwin dont work.

There are some Windows 98 users reporting problems updating ClamWin also. Before giving up, make sure you have ClamWin's Internet Update tab set to allow internet updates. The problem could also be with your firewall or router.

Avast 4.8 and Normal's Malware Cleaner work on Windows 98, so they may work on Millenium also.

So i decide to use Avast 4.8 - its run without errors.
