ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic

Hi, a few hours ago ClamWin tried to auto update and was unable to, so I tried doing so manually and it failed as well. I looked around for similar problems and could not find any.

I am running windows 7, my internet connection is just fine, my hosts file has no mention of clamav, am not infected with anything, and am using google's DNS servers. Ideas?

Can you update other programs--including other AV software?

Found the issue: DNS Client Service was not enabled. This theoretically shouldn't cause updates to fail because all the service does is caching and registering the computer's name. It doesn't resolve the names because everything else that I used on the internet resolved domain names just fine.
