Hello glenda_69,

I have taken a look at the Clamwin installer and on the setup procedure you may select which components have to be installed. By default on typical installation the integration with windows Explorer and MS Outlook is ticked, so I guess you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the program with the settings listed previously.
Come back if you still have problems. I am sure someone more experienced than me in the forum will take up this issue and provide further assistance.

Regards,
Antonio

Would this need to be done when using ClamWin as an on demand scanner only?

Hello,

The Outlook integration was done to have a minimum of 'real time scanning' on mail client. If you are not using a mail client (or have a resident scanner already running) I guess you can just skip the integration option.

Antonio

I use Avast at the moment, but as soon as it drops it's support for 98 then I will use Clamwin, so I would prefer the email integration option.

Is there much to do or anything I need to know, is there a tutorial for all this?

Regards

Hello starbound,
By installing Clamwin you will be asked if you wish to integrate it with windows explorer and with Outlook. Just tick these options and proceed with install (to verify once installed check the preferences of the 'email scanning' tab and tick the boxes related to outlook.
For your info take note of this:

quote="alch"]clamwin only works with Outlook 2000 and above. This limitation is due to the fact that earlier versions of outlook did not support COM API model for plug-ins[/quote]
