ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic

Hello everybody!
I am new with this anti virus.
A couple of days ago I decided to install this antivirus on my computer running windows 7 and I have the problem it doesn't get the updates.
This is what appears on the update dialog:

Can't connect to port 80 of host database.clamav.net (IP: 127.0.0.1)
WARNING: getpatch: Can't download daily-9463.cdiff from database.clamav.net

Could somebody help me?

ClamWin hasn't yet been designed/tested on Windows 7, which is a Windows beta at the moment. I"ve heard Win7 should ship in October, but I haven't heard what the ClamWin developers have in mind for Windows 7.

Clamwin works fine on Windows 7. The warning you saw is not related to an operating system used but a status of the particular mirror used. Nothing to worry about as it would have downloaded the full daily.cld file instead of an incremental patch.

Looks like you have a mandatory proxy server?

or maybe the dns is blocking some address by aliasing them to localhost
also check for your host file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc -> hosts (open with notepad)

it should only contains (except lines starting with #)

something like:

Code:

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

I have reviewed it and nothing...
Maybe I am victim of IP spoofing because I dont get the google identity information
