Hello,

I am brand new to this site and not a seasoned professional IT person. Alas, just a dumb user.

In any case, my hubby, who is a seasoned Unix professional, uses Clamwin for his antivirus at work and suggested for our home. Double underline the fact that he HATES microsoft.

When I loaded Clamwim, I noticed it placed an icon in my taskbar and let me know when it updated the virus database.

But when we had to reboot the computer during a power outage, I noticed when all the other programs loaded and their icons showed up in the taskbar, Clamwin didn't.

Does anyone know why?

We run Win XP.

Thanks.

P.S. Sorry I havent been around I have had LOADS of computer troubles but I am back now Very Happy

did it happen just once or is it noty loading on startup regularly now?
In any case I would suggest to install 0.88 again and reboot.

Hello. Excuse my bad English.

I'm a ClamWin user. I use Windows XP Home Edition (OEM).

I have the same problem.

When I start my computer and login to a finite user account in XP, ClamTray will only appear around 2/3 times that I login. When it don't show up, it does not show up in the traybar, and it don't show up in the Task Manager either.

When logging into Windows XP with an administrator account, ClamTray has loaded every time.

I have experienced exactly the same problem with my old computer (with totally different hardware). That computer also had Windows XP (Home Edition).

I have all software updates from Microsoft Update and ClamWin 0.88.1. On my old computer I don't remember which ClamWin version i had, but I'm pretty sure it was some older version.

B.t.w. Why don't the Quote work right?

EDIT: Anyway, if I remove ="alch" the Quote function works fine.
