Hi,
How difficult would it be to allow Clamwin to hook into the Security Centre so that Windows recognises it as an installed and functioning antivirus solution?

WSC checks to see if there is an antivirus (and firewall) program on the machine, if it is scanning real time, and if its signatures are up-to-date. If any of these conditions aren't met, the user receives an alert. So, it wouldn't do much good to integrate ClamWin into WSC until it is upgraded to real-time scanning status.
WSC detects AV/firewall programs by either of two methods: a Windows database via Microsoft or manually via AV vendor-supplied APIs linking their information to WSC. Hopefully, ClamWin will go real-time this year, and I'm sure Alch (and the other team members) are working on the API or getting placed in the database.
Regards,
