Fresh clam.exe has encountered a problem

& needs to close.This is the message I`m getting ,the details are:
Error signature
Mod name :msvcrt.dll
mod ver:7.0.2600.2180 offset 00038af1
can any one explain me what is this?

You encountered an application "crash." Usually this results from a situation that the programmer / code does not anticipate. Errors found in the microsoft c runtime dll are even more rare. Are you able to reproduce this crash?

this is strange libclamav traps crashes and creates a dump file

I've already received a report about freshclam crash and it's very strange since it crashes in dnsapi.dll and not in my code
arguments are ok when calling the api, but I'm not able to reproduce it Sad

Sorry! I didn`t get what you guys have posted,I`m not a programmer.Should I be concerned.I`m thinking of uninstalling.

I suggest you uninstall ClamWin and then reinstall and see if the problem occurs again. If it occurs again, you might have a corrupted download version, so download it again and give it one more try before you uninstall.

Since ClamWin is an on-demand scanner and is not memory resident, use another antivirus product in addition to ClamWin until they upgrade it to resident status. Try AVG free or Avira Antivir Personal Edition Classic--both are free.
