ClamWin will not update on its own. I can manually update it just fine. But if I set it to hourly or daily, it will not update on its own and i have to click manually to get it updated.

Clam AV furnishes its signatures to ClamWin, and it only updates signatures once daily. Set ClamWin to update on logon daily and forget about it.

The issue is, we dont login to these servers for a good while and it should update itself daily. And it doesn't. You can manually update it just fine, but on its own it will not. Any suggestions?

Could you set up a chron job or configure ClamWin to update upon logon?

I tried all different ways, set to every hour, or daily. nothing happens. It does work when you login and works when you tell it to update. but left alone it will not update itself and you get a pop-up 5 days later saying its out of date.

Okay. Check the reports to see if there are any update reports indicating unsuccessful--maybe an app (security/firewall) is preventing updates although ClamWin is trying to update.

When I log in with my admin account, i see the schedule task and update settings, yet when other admins login, they do not display the same settings.. Schedule is blank ect....

I have asked the 2 ClamWin developers for help with this; however, they do not often monitor these forums, and there is no guarantee they will be available.

All I can tell you is that ClamWin has not been tested in network environments. Perhaps it would have been if network users had contributed to the development of ClamWin.
