Clam AV converts the files as it needs to--I don't know their protocol, and I don't understand why you want to convert. You might see if you could find some info about this in the Clam AV documentation from their web site. Or you could do a web search for "converting Clam AV database files from cld to cvd."

Hi kids
I recall asking this question before the latest Clam update as I was thinking I was having problems with the cvd on windows 98, I never really found something that would be a converter when doing web searches. With this latest Clam, the only thing I need to do is download the definitions to a jump drive and copy it into the folder since I can not download them on 98

When I was working virus signatures for Clam AV, I once needed to look at their signature file(s) for a certain signature so I could prepare a signature to exclude it from the database. I had to "jump through hoops" to do it. I hope their signature files are easier to work with now.
