I think "data read" in a ClamWin scan report means the total file size of all files that were scanned.
ClamWin is only an "on -demand" scanner that scans files when you tell it to--either with a manual scan or with a scheduled scan. The ClamWin developers recommend that you use ClamWin only as a backup scanner to a real-time antivirus like Windows Defender. There are other free or paid antivirus programs that feature real-time scanning, which offers better protection than on-demand scanning.

Thank you,
Can I ask one more question ? why when I do memory scan, it always shows that data read is 0 but data scanned is not. For example:
Data scanned: 89.13 MB
Data read: 0.00 MB (ratio 0.00:1)

I never noticed that before, but the ClamWin memory scan was added after the program was already written. This discrepancy could possibly be because no traditional files are scanned in a memory scan--only files created from what is in memory, and the developers never addressed this by changing the original report format for a memory scan.
Remember what I said about using ClamWin only as a backup scanner to a real-time AV scanner.
Thanks for using ClamWin!
