When this happens, you should delete every file that is in the ClamWin database signature folder. Before you do that, however, copy the files somewhere else in case this doesn't work so you will still have something. Then do a manual update of the signatures in the ClamWin preferences. Do the manual update a couple of times if there is no update.
If that doesn't work, just set ClamWin to do a hourly update and check to see if it is updated two or three hours later. There could be a problem on Clam AV's end. The Clam AV mirrors that send out the updates are kind of "touchy" and once in a while a mirror doesn't work. This always works for me if the manual update doesn't work. Thanks for using ClamWin! I'm glad it worked. I have this problem once or twice a year--don't know why the database gets corrupted.
Regards, and thanks for using ClamWin! |
