| Does Clamwin actually tell you it found a false positive? |

The warning about false positives happens when important Windows files are falsely detected by the Clam AV scan engine used by ClamWin. In these cases, ClamWin informs the users and requests them to upload the falsely-detected files to Clam
AV so they can correct their false signature. This is only done on important Windows files that could affect the operation of your Windows operating system if quarantined--ClamWin will not warn you about other falsely-detected files. You should verify other files that are quarantined with the online Virus Total scanner and upload any false positives to Clam Av. When the ClamWin developers came up with this warning code, they also designed the QRecover program (placed in the ClamWin main folder) to enable users to restore falsely-quarantined files. You should "whitelist" the files in ClamWin before restoring them. Thanks for using ClamWin! Regards, |
