I am using Clam to scan removable media through command line.
I tried to scan 1GB Diskonkey (full capacity) after 11 min it was still scanning.
I made a comparison with Symantec AV and Trend Micro PCcillin. It took them arround 4 min.
Is there a way to accelerate the scan.
Thank you,
Yigal

was it at USB 1.1 or USB2 speed?
You may check what filetypes other AV packages are scanning, clamwin by default looks at almost everything. You can configure inclusion/exclusion filters to speed things up.
(Note that filters don't work in 0.88.3.1 if you scan from clamwi GUI, they do work from explorer context menu). I will be releasing a fix for that problem soon.
