I have about a half-dozen Windows 2008 and 2008R2 servers that use ClamWin. To save bandwidth, I created a local update server. On all of the client servers, if I put in the server hostname in the Internet Updates tab, the update fails. If I type in the IP address (ipv4 only), the updates work. Just in case it was an IPv6 problem I created a new hostname with only an A record, still no joy. Is there something else I need to set up in the DNS in order for the host name resolution to work for ClamWin?

ClamWin is basically designed for standalone use on a single computer. It has not been tested very well on networks.
