I have Clam Win installed on a Win XP computer, and it updates fine. But I recently put Clam Win , and Clam Sentinel on my Win Vista 64 bit. On the Vista computer I always get update error messages. Yesterday I tried a manual update, but the logs don't show in record of the manual update. So I don't know if it worked or not.

I sure would like Clam Win to update on my Vista Computer. I tried to install AVG free antivirus on my Vista, it didn't perform at all. And it was almost impossible to UN-install.

I keep seeing a message in your logs about "Non-recoverable failure in name resolution". Apparently there is a problem with your DNS--domain name service that translates web site names/descriptions into the decimals actually used by computers to access sites on the web. Usually the domain name service is provided by your Internet Service Provider. FSecure has some information and a check that might be helpful to you at https://campaigns.f-secure.com/router-checker/en_global/ on the web. If FSecure doesn't find any problems. in case there is some malware involved with this problem, get a copy of Malwarebytes free at https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/ on the web. Install it, update it, and run a quick scan and then a full scan with it. The free version comes with a 2 week trial of the premium verson, but I think the free version is just at good at finding malware if it is already on your computer.

If nothing works, uninstall ClamWin and then install it again and then see how ClamWin works. Also, make sure you use ClamWin version .99.1, which is the latest version. Ignore the warning about being out of date--the warning is for Clam AV users--not ClamWin users. Let us know how it goes.
