I just installed clamwin on a new computer and unlike my other installation on another computer I do not see the clamwin icon near the clock. Why?

check c:\documents and settings\<your username>\local settings\temp\clamwin1.log-clamwin4.log for more details. (Note: you need to enable "show hidden files" setting in windows explorer)

Have you tried waiting until Windows XP has loaded somewhat complete before logging in? That is, when the Windows login prompt appear, wait 30 seconds and then type in your name and log in to XP.
