is there a newer version again called .99.2 to use and would be compatible with my windows xp? was stated in my recent update report that i should be using this newer version, just after i updated to the .99.1.

Clam AV (Linux) has a new version .99.2, but the ClamWin developers have not yet ported it over to ClamWin for Windows. The report you see after each ClamWin signature update warns you if there is a new version of Clam AV. The ClamWin developers need to suppress that warning. The version you see on the ClamWin main web page is always the latest version--.99.1 at the present time.
