Hi All,
This is my first post to the ClamWin Forum so I hope that this question hasn't been asked/answered by someone already. I looked through the forum and was unable to find a solution.
Anyhow I'm trying to find a way (if ClamWin doesn't do it natively) to have ClamWin send an email alert when the Virus Definitions gets updated. Ideally I would like to have the header tell me whether it updated successfully or not. However having the log file attached to the email would also be acceptable if that's all I can get. Just means I'll have to read the log/report file to see if it succeeded or not.
I'm thinking of using a scheduled task to simply email me the Update Report after it's scheduled run but I thought maybe someone had a better way of handling it.
Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

The Clam AV project for Linux provides its scan engine code to ClamWin, and the ClamWin developers prepare a Windows port from it. The virus definitions also come from Clam AV, as do the definition updates. ClamWin does provide the user with some information during/after a definition update. I doubt if we will see any changes in this for some time.
