ClamAV configuration to update

Hello to you all,

I am new Clamav user on WIndows. I encounter several problems concerning the configuration freshclam.conf and creating the database file.

Here is the configuration of my freshclam.conf file:

DatabaseDirectory C:\Windows\Program Files\Sourcefire Inc\ClamAV\database
DatabaseMirror database.clamav.net
DNSDatabaseInfo current.cvd.clamav.net [/ code]

and I created a file named database but the software said:

[code]
C: \ Program Files \ Sourcefire Inc \ ClamAV> freshclam.exe
ERROR: Can not change dir to C: \ Program Files \ Sourcefire Inc \ ClamAV \ database [/ code]

Hello and welcome to the forums. Are you using ClamWin or ClamAV? Also, what Windows version are you using (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, etc)?

This forum is for users of the ClamWin port of Clam AV. I don't know how much help you can get here. The configuration file(s) may be different.

Removed duplicate post. Also, Bob is right. This forum is for ClamWin, an anti-virus that runs off the ClamAV engine. If you need help with ClamAV, I recommend contacting ClamAV support here: https://www.clamav.net/contact.html or you con consult the documentation/FAQ section here: https://www.clamav.net/doc/install.html I recommend you read through the documentations first before contacting any staff as your question may be answered already.
