For various reasons, I am running a Windows Server 2008 (SP1) VM for access to Google Drive on a Linux Host (over network share).
I decided o use ClamWin on it... more of just the sake of it then any real need for an AV.
Had: ClamWin 0.98.4.1
Updated to: 0.98.5 with No Database Setup

Downloaded, Upgraded Version, Setup Updated DB, then my Server VM Rebooted on me, no questions asked, just a reboot.

Event Logger showed it was the setup (clamwin-0.98.5-setup-nodb).
Reason Code: 0x0

I re-ran setup (without completing), couldn't find any mention of reboot Machine after upgrade software and update database.

Anyone had anything like this occur, is this normal?
I would hope that any software that wants to reboot a machine would ask the user first!
(Especially running Server)

I've never used a forum like this before... so please forgive me if I am doing this terribly wrong... Honestly I've never needed to ask on a forum for help before. Embarassed

ClamWin has not really been designed/tested extensively for servers. It is primarily a stand-alone PC application that has a Windows port of the Clam AV scan engine designed for Linux mail servers. However, ClamWin has seen successful use on servers, but it has especially not been designed/tested for virtual machines, so that could be the problem.
