Long ago you could import the Clam AV signatures into Excel and convert it there. I don't know about now.

Thanks Bob for the quick reply.
actually i am looking for a solution, to keep the updated files as cvd extension only(daily.cvd,main.cvd etc). when ever i ran the freshclam.exe it is converting the files to cld extension, i had set the "CompressLocalDatabae yes" flag in the freshclam.conf file. is there any other option to set, to keep the updated files with cvd extension only. No, the signature database files are from Clam AV, and ClamWin does not have any options as to their format.
