i am getting an error, "cannot open c:/pagefile.sys". I have stopped my firewall and tried, but same error message. What to do?

I am using winXP SP2. Clamwin 0.88.2.3.

Waiting for your reply. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

ClamWin/ClamScan can't open the file mentioned because it is locked by the Windows system (this file is used for the virtual memory subsystem). There's not much we can do about this.

You can just ignore this message.

I understand system files cant be opened. But I am getting a whole bunch of this:

ERROR: Can't open file C:\915e6ab\xactsrv.dll_

all the stuff it cant open is coming from that folder. What is it and why cant it open it?

hard to tell, check security permissions on C:\915e6ab folder, your user account needs read access for clamwin to access the file.
