A Weird 'Automatic Scheduling'!

Hello Folks! I guess the only 'Consolation' one can have while possessing the ClamWin AV is the 'Automatic Scheduler' function! Smile

Now, it makes me Wonder that why can't one directly choose 'My Computer' as the preferred option for an Automatic Scan Schedule. Why does the "OK" appears 'Grayed out' at the Bottom for "My Computer"?

Neither does one have a 'Privilege' to press a SHIFT Key & choose Multiple drives for this Utility!

Does that really make sense to design a Separate Scan nomenclature for each Drive? For instance, Schedule 1 for Drive C:, & Schedule 2 for Drive DConfused

Automatic Scanning Schedule was the first aspect to be drive me in for this Product, & now perhaps, this'll put me off!

ClamWin was designed about 2005 or so. A lot has changed since then, including options users expect for for GUI (graphical user interfaces). An update, at least for the GUI, is under consideration, but do not expect it soon. Perhaps you would care to help with GUI design. If so, please contact the ClamWin developers per the contact information on the ClamWin web pages.

Why not "My Computer" for an Automatic Schedule?

Hello Guitar Bob!

My Concern is associated to "choosing the Drive" for an Automatic Schedule! Why cannot I Choose "My Computer" directly in one shot!?

"My Computer" will automatically encompass all listed Drives like C:; D:..etc. & Memory Items too!

Why there has to be a different schedule designed for each specified Drive?

When ClamWin was written, I think that the average computer did not have many drives--only the C drive, so perhaps that is the reason. Like I said, ClamWin certainly needs a re-write. Would you care to help? If so, contact the developers.

By the way, do other AV programs allow you this selection? I'm just asking.
