Major failure during first scan of 2012...?

I have a lot of unattended computers (+/- 100) from friends and family running Clamwin running for years. Some with older Clamwin versions and latest versions but most of them with automatic signature update.
Almost all these computers (except the ones not running Clamwin) running either Win7 x64 or Win XP Home/Pro crashed or are unresponsive because I think that Clamwin crashed and keeps on spamming the in Windows Logs/Reports which makes Windows crash...
The message says Windows ran out of virtual memory while Clamwin was scanning.

Guess I need to contact everybody and make them reboot these pc's as I can't access them remotely anymore. Not with teamviewer nor LogMeIn... So sick of it...

Anyone else had or has a similar problem?

Note that all pc's are running for years without problems.

Hmmm. This looks like a problem specific to your environment. I don't think there has been a problem with the Clam updates, and you are the first/only user who has reported this.

There is no specific environment at all. No Active Directory or group policies, or special network settings Smile Just a bunch of standalone pc's running Win XP or Win 7 Pro x64. All of them fail one by one and a hard reboot mostly helps.
Maybe there was malware in a certain version that affected the PC's. Anyway, haven't seen anything suspicious until now...
