Hi,
I just downloaded ClamWin. I'm running Windows 7. I went to the command line and specifically to the bin directory of ClamWin. I typed in the below as a test basically trying to scan one of the files in the bin directory.
Some of the examples on the forum here mention a "db" directory but I don't have that on my side. I'm wondering if that's the problem. In any case, here is what I'm running on the command line from within the bin directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\ClamWin\bin>clamscan.exe --database="C:\program files (x86)\ClamWin\db" ClamWin.conf
LibClamAV Error: cli_loaddb(): No supported database files found in C:\program files (x86)\ClamWin\db
ERROR: Can't open file or directory

Any idea what's going on?
Thanks

On my Windows 7 laptop, the database directory is C:\ProgramData\.clamwin\db . Re: the Windows command line/batch stuff, I haven't been able to do much since verson .95. I can't even prepare HTML signatures....

Thanks.. that worked. It was here : C:\ProgramData\.clamwin\db
That folder must be a hidden folder or something by default.

No, it is not hidden. Blame Microsoft--every time there is a new Windows version, they change things!
