I'm no expert, but it looks like a technical thing to me--perhaps a file format that the scan engine was unable to process. The scan completed okay, so I'm thinking it is not anything to worry about. It looks like you scanned the entire hard drive. If you want to pursue this and have the time, do a manual scan of each directory at a time and see if you can isolate the error instance(s). That might provide more information so we can evaluate it.

Is there a way to narrow it down, this Error line item in the new report was not there in the previous version. What's it's purpose and what are the possible error conditions that will be reported?
Thanks. |

If you didn't save that particular scan report to a file, I know of no way to identify the error other than to scan program folders individually until it turns up. I'm not a programmer/developer, so I don't know about the errors. My best guess is it's a file that the scan engine was unable to process. There might be a temp file somewhere in your %appdata% folder--or I guess Documents & Settings on XP, that has some scan information if it hasn't been erased by a subsequent scan.
Perhaps one of the ClamWin developers will chime in here. Regards, |
